Back at it for race number two this weekend — repaired car, borrowed shocks, and hoping to rebound from the rough opener.
Huge thanks to longtime BRW crewman Troy for making his return to South Sound Speedway to help out this weekend. Awesome having him back at the track.
We unloaded unsure where the setup would be after the last race, but the car felt really solid in practice — stable, smooth, and even a little free.
Then qualifying came around and the car absolutely came alive. Laid down a 14.16 to put us P1 ahead of the always-fast #72 of Secord and #17 of Jones. Definitely a huge confidence boost.
🔥 Heat Race • Started 4th and brought it home 3rd behind the #17 and #72 after the car got really loose late in the race.
🏁 Main Event • Made a few adjustments before the feature, but looking back, I over-adjusted and I simply didn’t do a good enough job as the driver. Didn’t get a great start, was too tentative early, and by the time I got going the leaders were gone.
Disappointed in the result, but we learned a lot and we’ll come back better next race.
Special thanks to: Scott, Mike & Joe Beaudoin, Joe Bowers, and Chuck LaHorgue.
Huge thank you to everyone helping make this possible and supporting this team.
