About us
Neves Racing Team is a grassroots race team based in Vancouver, WA. Started in 70's in Klamath Falls, OR by my dad, Steve “Sneaky Snake” Neves.
It is built on the passion for local, home-grown, short track racing. We bring value to our sponsorship partners through success on and off the track. Neves Racing Team hopes to build brand awareness through our fan base, visual impressions, social media, endorsements, and hospitality events.
Our conduct is professional, our passion is undeniable. This is a tremendous opportunity for our race team, as well as our current and future sponsorship partners, to be part of a great community sport.

About the driver
I have been around racing since I was about 3 years old. I’ve helped build, set-up, and maintain Racecars with my dad and various other drivers for the better part of my first 18 years, I love it.
I’ve was on the Pit Crew for Northwest Tour team in the mid 90’s and a Crew Chief and Spotter for Late Model team the last few years, but Driving is my passion.
Being at the track and working on racecars with my dad was basically how I spent my childhood. When my dad passed away from Hodgkin’s Disease in 1994, I got away from racing, but after a few years I decided to pursue my passion once again.
In 2000 I started traveling to Florida a couple times a year to attend the Cale Yarborough Executive Racing School @ USA International Speedway in Lakeland, FL, with Head Instructors, David Reutimann (Pre-NASCAR days) & Short Track Legend, Lee Faulk as well as Edward Howell, Kim Scheffler, and Tony Amico.
In 2001, I graduated from the Executive Racing School, where I set fast lap times at every level that I competed. Later that year, I was invited back for the Student Race held at the end of every school year. At this event, I set fast time once again and won the race. In total, I’ve ran over 350 laps at *USA International Speedway in a Late Model Stock Car with fast, consistence lap times.
In 2002, I quit my job and moved from Oregon to North Carolina without the promise of employment to chase my dream of becoming a Professional Racecar Driver. After a year and a half in North Carolina, I was unable to secure the financial backing needed to continue my pursuit; however I did gain some great experience in the process. I was able to test various types of racecars at multiple tracks on the East Coast and was also hired as a Driving Instructor at the Thunder Motorsports Baby Grand Stock Car Experience in Ripley, WV.
After a 20-year hiatus from driving, I got the opportunity to get back behind the wheel of the Beaudoin Racing Werkes FSCRA/Super 4 Late Model, where I was awarded the 2022 'Rookie of the Year' & 2024 'Most Improved Driver' award. Currently, I’m racing my own Super 4 Late Model at South Sound Speedway in Rochester, WA.
* USA International Speedway permanently closed in 2008
